LepreCon 33 Music and Filk
The LepreCon 33 Music Guest of Honor will be Emma Bull
(Sponsored by the Phoenix Filk Circle)
Emma Bull is a Novelist and Musician presently living in Tucson. She is a native Californian who lived in Minneapolis after her matriculation at Beloit College where she majored in English. She did not enjoy the winters so she moved back to California and thence to Bisbee, Arizona, for a time. After that she ended up in Tucson where she now lives with her husband, Will Shetterly. She’s written novels, screenplays, a children's book, and short stories. Emma and Will are members of the Interstate Writers' Workshop Commonly known as “The Scribblies.” They conduct writing workshops, teaching in Los Angeles, at Clarion West, at the Pima Writers Workshop and elsewhere.
Emma is a guitarist of considerable talent and is part of the Goth-Folk Duo, the Flash Girls, well known on the RenFaire circuit in the northeast. She was also involved in the psychedelic improv folk-jazzgroup, Cats Laughing with Steven Brust, Adam Stemple, and Lojo Russo. It has been determined that she is at heart a Filker. Her zany talent, off the wall humor and delightful turn of mind make her a perfect Filk Guest of Honor.
She will have a concert Saturday around noon, attend the Filk Circle Friday & Saturday nights, and be on one or more Filk panels as well.
Emma Bull will be on a rampage throughout the convention.
