George R. R. Martin

George R. R. Martin is an award winning author who has been professionally published since the 1970’s.  Awards have include Hugos, Nebulas, Stokers, Locus, World Fantasy, and others.  His short fiction has been collected in several volumes, he’s edited numerous anthologies including the long running Wild Cards series, and his current  novel series, A Song of Ice and Fire, is being adapted into a TV series for HBO.  There’s lots more detailed information on the official George R. WarriorsScheduled for release in March is the anthology Warriors, edited by George and Gardner Dozois with stories from Joe Haldeman, Diana Gabaldon, Robin Hobb, S.M. Stirling and many others.  Recent releases have included Songs of the Dying Earth, an anthology tribute to Jack Vance edited by George and Gardner Dozois published by Subterranean Press and now sold out (but available from resellers), new Wild Cards collections Inside Straight and Busted Flush with the next installment Suicide Kings being released in December 2009.
